Willow and I went to the engagement party of dear friends on the weekend and the dress code was wedding! Specifically wear your wedding or bridesmaids' dress to the party
So I went back to the photos of Willow's beautiful wedding day to remember how it all looked
Willow arrived by vintage car
I was there to sort her dress out
and Dad walked her down the aisle
The ceremony was outside under the trees on a glorious sunny day
Willow's dress had a sweetheart neckline, sash fixed with a vintage brooch and a cathedral length veil
It also had a hidden tulle skirt.
She looked a dream.
After the ceremony we followed the happy couple to the beachside restaurant
I wore a mushroom coloured silk number that I copied from Mrs Wang
So this is what we had to work with for the engagement party dress code!
Willow wore her tulle skirt with a sequined top
the Crystals Are Forever necklace
and a seriously sparkly arm party.
I wore the sash from my bridesmaid's dress
and the jewellery I wore as Willow's bridesmaid
The ring, earrings and bracelet are by Danish jewellers Pilgrim
Our friend K wore a 60s lace wedding dress sourced from Etsy
and the bride-to-be wore.... a wedding dress! She is surrounded by her pink bridesmaids and this is later in the night after the bottom layer had already been chopped off!
Congratulations to the happy couple - the engagement party was so much fun we can't wait for the wedding!
